Julius Lim
Founder & Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Julius Lim is the founder and CEO of CompAsia. He founded the company in 2013 and has grown the company exponentially. Under his leadership, CompAsia is now the leading secondary devices solutions provider in Asia.
Prior to his personal venture, Julius spent a number of years at The Boston Consulting Group. He holds a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering and Economics from the Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
George Hashim
Chief Strategy Officer (CSO)
George Hashim joined CompAsia in early 2018 to oversee strategy and help drive business growth. He is a telco industry veteran and successful entrepreneur, with over 22 years experience in the telecoms industry.
Previously, he was co-founder & Executive Director of AmTrust Mobile Solutions Asia, a B2B mobile solutions provider. He was also the CEO of Redtone Pakistan and Redtone Mobile Malaysia. George also co-founded Mycom International, a business specialising in telecom mobile network infrastructure projects across Asia. He holds a bachelor degree in Business Administration from the California Lutheran University.
Kian Leong Yap
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Kian Leong joined CompAsia as the Chief Financial Officer after spending a number of years as the Executive Vice-President of Finance, Tax and Treasury at TARH Khazanah, Malaysia. He has held executive roles at the Asian Broadcasting Network and was the Head of Finance at Astro before that.
A qualified chartered accountant, he is recognised by the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA) (UK), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) (UK) and is also a senior member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). He attended the Systematic College of Education in Kuala Lumpur and the Emile Woolf College in London.
Laurent De Candido
Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Laurent has over 22 years of experience in operations and general management across developed and developing markets. He has worked with brands such as P&G, LVMH and Richemont, holding key roles in Europe and Asia. His most recently held position was at Gogoprint as Managing Director.
Laurent holds a Master's Degree in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from ENSAM Paris. He has lived in Malaysia for over 10 years.
Eu Gene Jiang
Chief Investment Officer
Eugene has over 18 years of experience in private equity and investment banking. He has originated and executed numerous M&A, ECM and DCM transactions across Southeast Asia. His employment history includes Vertex Management, a venture capital firm owned by Temasek Holdings, Merrill Lynch Singapore, and most recently the Head of Mergers and Acquisitions for Southeast Asia at Rabobank Singapore.
Eugene graduated with a BSc in Biomedical Engineering and Economics, with minors in Electrical Engineering and Entrepreneurship from the Johns Hopkins University under a Singapore Technologies scholarship.
Henry Ng
Head of BBTI
Henry Ng heads the buyback, trade-in division at CompAsia. He oversees regional buyback and trade-in related matters, partner engagement, strategy planning and operations. Under his supervision, the business has expanded exponentially, reaching over 6 countries, establishing partnerships with major telcos, device manufacturers, retailers and more.
Henry holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from University of Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), and an MBA from INTI International University.
